Accompanied by the Berlin based band ALP

Launching the 21st Season of Berlin & Beyond, we are excited to welcome back to San Francisco the Berlin band ALP for a very special, very intimate performance of their original score for one of cinema's most distinguished works from the silent era – "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" ("Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari"). ALP, a trio of electro-acoustic improvisers from disparate corners of the vast Berlin experimental scene, is known primarily for their live scoring work, which seeks to enliven classic silent’s, providing contemporary accompaniment that fuses rock, electronic and modern ambient in a live setting. ALP made their U.S. debut at this past January 2016's 20th Anniversary Berlin & Beyond Film Festival Closing Night with a night-to-remember performance of their original score to Walther Ruttman's classic documentary "Berlin, Symphony of a Great City". Join us for another evening to remember.
Due to the size of the venue and limited seating, this event will sell out, so please buy your tickets in advance at
