50th anniversary of the Goethe–Institut San Francisco

Celebrate Goethe–Institut San Francisco's 50th anniversary. Experience live music ranging from classical to jazz, poetry slam from Germany and the US, as well as workshops for kids and adults. Try out a German language class. Taste the wide variety of German beers and our fresh culinary treats.

Open House: August 26 - 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Workshops:
  • Share your birthday wishes in an artistic way! Art workshop for adults with the artist Anne-Marie Stöhr. (until 2 PM)
  • Big art from the little ones… Children’s art workshop with artist Inge Infante (until 1 PM)
  • Create your own buttons with your favorite German word. The Button-Workshop goes all day long.

Bay Area German Beer Cellar offers a wide variety of German beers for purchase. The first 20 beers are for free, first come first serve!

Goethe-Institut is easily accessible by public transportation (BART and Muni), it is a 10-minute walk from either Powell or Montgomery stations. The closest parking garage is across the street, the Sutter-Stockton Garage.
