Are you a student from Germany attending college in the United States? Would you like to experience first-hand what makes an American school very different from a German “Gymnasium”?
Or do you teach German and want to welcome a “true” German into your classroom who provides your students with very unique insights into German culture?
Here is your chance!
‘German for Hire’ gives middle and high school teachers the opportunity to invite German university students into their classrooms to give youth-oriented presentations on different topics in modern German life and culture.
As an ambassador you will provide an authentic and interactive classroom session in German language, history or social studies classes. Students will be able to discuss current events and experience German history first hand through a personal encounter. Middle and high school students are thrilled to welcome you to their school. Talk about everyday life in Germany, hobbies, interests and dreams. It will improve cross-cultural communication skills.
We won’t burden you with hours of planning for this project. You simply let us know how much time you have available – and we’ll connect ambassadors and teachers.
