Film Lest We Forget: After Auschwitz (2018)

Noon Film Series at the San Francisco Public Library

Join us for the screening of After Auschwitz by Jon Kean, a "Post-Holocaust" documentary about six extraordinary women, capturing what it means to move from tragedy and trauma towards life. After Auschwitz follows six women after surviving the horrors of the Holocaust. They all move to Los Angeles, eventually get married, have children and become Americans, but continuously struggle with finding a place to call home. This documentary provides a personal insight into their views, interpretations and interactions with a changing America, as well as their personal conflicts. The film documents the journey of these six woman living an inspiring and unimaginable life.

The exhibit Lest We Forget is presented by the Goethe-Institut San Francisco and the German Consulate General San Francisco, with heartfelt gratitude to Barbro and Bernard Osher for their generosity.
