Punk Bands
Featuring local bands curated by the DC Punk Archive at the Library Express branch of the DC Public Library.
Foul Swoops, Courtesy DC Public Library
Northern Virginia-based brothers and guitarists Sean and Devin Connell started their garage rock band
Foul Swoops in 2009, and together with drummer Jacky Majic perform a grouchy-cool mix.
Br'er, Courtesy DC Public Library
Br'er is a DC-based experimental noise pop band consisting of Benjamin Schurr (Voice, Guitar) Ben Usie (Drums, Sampler) Erik Sleight (Synth, Sampler) and Johnny Fantastic (Synths, Voice). Ever evolving and expanding, their dynamic audio brutalism tackles class, power, gender, queer politics and dark humor through the sonic area between catharsis and chaos.
The Library Express will also host activities for the public from 3 – 5 pm.
