#FeminismToMe

The Goethe-Institut Washington is initiating a social media campaign using the hashtag #FeminismToMe as part of an event series on the topic of feminism in the digital age. Also the overarching title of the programming series, #FeminismToMe seeks to encourage critical engagement with social media as a platform for feminist activism, and examine the many personal definitions of feminism in a society where the personal and political remain unavoidably bound with the digital.

Beginning in late October, posts made to Instagram using this hashtag will be displayed in the gallery space of the Goethe-Institut.

Here in DC, the Goethe-Institut Washington will be hosting a variety of workshops, dynamic guest speakers and performers, and gatherings that encourage participants to explore how they personally relate to feminism.
