Europe is coming back to Washington this fall - with the 11th Kids Euro Festival bringing the biggest European talent in children’s entertainment to DC. The festival is one of the largest children's art festivals in the United States. The programs are particularly suitable for children between the ages of six and twelve, and are presented by artists from a wide variety of genres. Musicians Johannes Stange and Joss Turnbull open the series of events in their own unique way…

It begins with the two friends sitting on a circular tarp. One plays trumpet, the other tombak (a type of Persian drum). One needs lips and breath to play, the other hands and fingers. Together they move to the left, to the right, and straight ahead. Sometimes it's not so easy to play together. And there are different ways to make music together: side by side, together, together and alone - two together.

The musicians Johannes Stange (trumpet) and Joss Turnbull (tombak) developed the music for this instrumental theater, a composition and improvisation for trumpet, tombak, hands, feet, and tarp. Zweieinander is a mobile production that has also performed in daycares and other facilities.
