We are returning to Hanoi for the 3rd year in a row for more human stories.
Storytelling is everywhere nowadays. But how do you tell a story that is dignifying of the humans on all sides of the lens? By slowing down, we are able to humanize everyone - from director to participant no matter gender, nationality, role, or color.
REMIX Hanoi is an intensive, hands-on 3-day mindful media lab that will equip you with tangible media-making skills and tools for empathy building.
Unlike the typical 'workshop,' during REMIX Hanoi, you and other participants will hit the streets to film everyday stories. You will plan, film and edit powerful mini-docs using human-centered storytelling—a methodology where mindfulness, peaceful dialogue and design thinking are essential parts of the process. You will learn skills in conceptualizing a story, empathy building, interviewing, filming, editing, and teamwork. SoSM REMIX workshops empower emerging leaders, change makers and creatives throughout Southeast Asia just like you, and equips them to be storylisteners as well as storytellers.
This REMIX is powered by the SCHOOL OF SLOW MEDIA. We teach human-centered storytelling through our own methods of pause, play, and record, a unique artistic and leadership approach where mindfulness and listening are essential parts in the craft of storytelling.
