Crafting the Next Generation of Vietnamese-German Literary Translators
The "Translation Hub" project is an initiative aimed at training and equipping a new team of literary translators with the necessary skills to translate from German to Vietnamese. This project is initiated by the Goethe-Institut Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
In particular, the Goethe-Institut Vietnam collaborates with the Literarischen Colloquium Berlin (LCB) to connect the two promising translators from the "Translation Hub" project to participate in a series of programs organized by LCB. These include a three-week residency program exclusively for outstanding German literary translators in Germany and the annual project "International Translator Meeting 2025." Notably, the program will also include a visit to the Leipzig Book Fair, one of the largest book festivals in Germany.
The residency and exchange program in Germany will take place in March 2025.
