Film workshop with Tali Barde

The Goethe-Institut had the honour of welcoming special guest Tali Barde, young director, scriptwriter and actor, at this year’s German Film Festival. Tali Barde did not only present his movie For No Eyes Only in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, where he spoke to the audience about the film following the screening, but also led two film workshops with students of the FIT schools in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
 
The students were able to spend one entire afternoon with Tali Barde. Before asking questions and making comments about For No Eyes Only, the director shared a lot of personal information about himself and his career with his young fans – a celebrity close-up! The students gained insights into the rules of scriptwriting und camera perspectives, before the main part of the workshop began: In small groups, the students thought up their own short film sequence, wrote the script, and then shot and edited the sequences using iPads. The youngsters were full of ideas and energy.
