Interview with Mr. Kim Nguyen Dieu Tran

Mr. Kim Nguyen Dieu, Tran traveled to Paderborn at the age of 29 to train at the MEV Railway School. He has always dreamed of driving a large engine to safely navigate passengers or goods through the highly complex rail network, and to explore the world. Before he left his country, he trained as a locomotive driver for two years in Vietnam, which is why he wants to remain in this field. His previous knowledge and experience in the profession helped him a lot in his training. Dieu’s journey to Germany was not easy and riddled with many challenges. But thanks to his strong will and commitment, everything worked out in the end and he was able to start his education in Germany. Even though his path to Germany was not easy, one thing is clear to him: Given the chance to do it again, he would make the same decision because he is convinced that the job of train driver is the right one for him.
