VON WEGEN LISBETH kicks it off in Southeast Asia

Indie-pop concerts, workshops, meetings and discussions in Vietnam and Bangkok

After the overwhelming response in the last years, there will be another young and funky German band touring Southeast Asia this autumn. Currently, VON WEGEN LISBETH is rocking Germany and performing in sold out concert halls. The Goethe-Institut Vietnam is really looking forward to present this successful band from Berlin in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut Thailand to you.

The five concerts come along with interactive workshops and talks in which German learners from the Goethe-Institut, PASCH partner schools and universities will get the chance to meet and communicate with the musicians.

The 5 musicians share their passion for musical experiments since school time. Who would have guessed that they would once fill big concert halls and famous clubs instead of making music in dusty parents basements? In the beginning, they just had an old guitar and a drum machine. Nowadays, the mixture of guitar, bass, casio-keyboards, steel-drum and an electronic harp with the sound of a chime is the reason for the dancing beats. Like so many others, their music career started with a youtube-video. Though daftly making fun of the social networks’ mechanisms, the cheerful song “Sushi” spread within no time all across Facebook.

After publishing their EP „Und plötzlich der Lachs“ in 2014, the first concert tour through Germany followed. And now, the quintet takes over the audience in famous German clubs and festivals with their debut album „Grande“. Put on your dancing shoes and don’t miss when VON WEGEN LISBETH will play their lightweight indie pop sounds in Vietnam and Thailand!
