Looking back to the DDR in the 1980s. Babara is a doctor. She wants to move to West Germany. After she officially applies for an emigration permit she gets transferred for disciplinary reasons to a province hospital and gets monitored by the state security service. This only supports her wish to leave the country. She is preparing her escape unswervingly. In the last moment however she decides otherwise.
