Sibahle Sky Dladla is an African instrumentalist, a percussionist, marimba maker, a songwriter, singer and bow instrument maker from Gugulethu township in Cape town South Africa. Sky’s love for African instruments started 13 years ago when she started playing the marimba in high school. She then went on to enroll at UCT to study Performance in African Music, from which she has graduated the University of Cape Town with a Performance Diploma, an Advance Diploma and Post Graduate Diploma in African Instruments. She founded her own band Blackroots Marimbas in 2012.
