ADMINISTRATOR OF THE BOOKING CENTRE FOR THE BMZ GLOBAL PROJECT CULTURAL AND CREATIVE INDUSTRIES
The Goethe-Institute South Africa (Johannesburg) and the Goethe-Institut Senegal (Dakar) is looking for a part-time employee (capacitated at 75% of the time which equates to 30 hours per week) from 01.06.2023 to 31.12.2023 in the Administrative and Controlling (Culture and Development) department of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
Remuneration will be based on the local employment laws as regulated in South Africa and/or Senegal with specific focus on the applicable employment regulations of the Goethe-Institute South Africa (Johannesburg) and/or in Goethe-Institute (Senegal).
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:
- Financial management for Dakar, Johannesburg and Nairobi (Management of Creditors which includes the creation of vendor master data, General Ledger Accounting, Bank Accounting as well as Fixed Asset Accounting)
- To ensure compliance with internal and external financial guidelines, directives and regulations are adhered to with specific reference to German Public procurement law (Federal Budgets and Management of Grants)
- Preparation of respective audit reports for the Goethe-Institute
- Supervision of regional financial management and reporting: Monitoring of the allocation of various funds and the management thereof (Liquidity management, budget allocations and reallocations and overall management of cost overviews)
- Supporting regional project managers and local project coordinators in the preparation of financing plans
- Supporting with personnel planning, contract law and other administrative aspects, including office management
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Administration or equivalent
- Sound knowledge in Financial Accounting
- Willingness to familiarise yourself with the legal structures and the requirements of the BMZ.
- Very good knowledge of SAP (FI and CO) and/or the willingness for intensive training
- Very good IT-knowledge (MS Office, Project Planning Software (PPS))
- Good organisational skills
- Good communication skills
- Good social and cultural competence
- Good motivation and initiative
- Good German and English (Advantageous knowledge of French)
- Work permit for South Africa or Senegal
