Discussion Culture and Creativity for Economic Growth and Community Good

Culture and Creativity for Economic Growth Todos - Lisbon

Wed, 01.03.2017

You are invited to this round table with Jim Galloway, initated by the British Council Connect ZA and hosted at the Goethe-Institut. It is evident that collaborative cross-sector working and hybrid approaches to artistic community growth are being led by super networks: Hubs. In light of this fresh, sector-led desire to drive the Creative Economy, an opportunity exists to shape our future in the arts and creative practices.

Mr Galloway will highlight some of the strategies and learnings, implemented and experienced by the City of Edinburgh Council, in terms of supporting a healthy creative ecosystem by interlinking culture with economic development.

We believe your contribution to the conversation is important in linking how creative communities might build opportunities, spaces, skills, networks, markets and support systems through their entrepreneurial approaches and arts businesses.
