In commemoration of the 79th anniversary of the 1938 November Pogroms, the Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Centre, the Goethe-Institut and the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung present an evening with James E. Young, Professor of English and Judaic Studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Professor Young served on the design collection committee for the Berlin Holocaust Memorial and was a member of the jury of New York City’s September 11 Memorial Design Competition. In his talk, Professor Young will offer his reflections on Memorial Art, Loss and the Spaces Between. Admission is free, but RSVP is essential.
