Play with your German!
Calling all German language learners to join us for a day of poetry making.
The workshop is suitable for timid, bold, secret, beginner or serious players with words.
Poems will be published on our social media platforms and participants stand the chance to be invited to perform at a poetry reading at the Goethe-Institut.
The facilitator, Maren Bodenstein, is a poet and novelist who grew up in a small German-speaking village in Kwa Zulu Natal. Most recently she has taught Creative Writing and Scriptwriting at the Open Window University for the Creative Arts in Lusaka, Zambia.
There are only 20 places available. Please apply by sending an email to
Nicole.Meyer@goethe.de. In the email tell us about yourself in three lines and include a paragraph or a short poem about your experience of learning German. Please write in the subject line of the e-mail: POETRY WORKSHOP and your full name.
