An evening of Poetry at the Goethe-Institut
Right To Speak is an international exchange programme by the Goethe-Institut South Africa in partnership with Hear My Voice, the Centre For Creative Arts, the General Representation of Flanders, Wallonie-Bruxelles International and Institut Francais Afrique du Sud. It is a collaborative project that uses spoken word to engage youth voices in Africa and Europe around human rights and social justice issues.
Within the framework of Right to Speak, the General Representation of Flanders, in collaboration with Wallonie-Bruxelles International, Hear My Voice and Goethe-Institut offer an evening of poetry, showcasing the collaboration between two South African and two Belgian poets who have been jamming and creating within a residency on issues of gender equality, women’s rights, human rights, and social justice. The project is funded by European Spaces of Culture.
