Femi Kayode grew up in Nigeria. After studying clinical psychology at the University of Ibadan in Lagos, he worked in the advertising industry for many years. He was a fellow at the University of Southern California and the University of Washington, Seattle. His work for television has won several awards. In 2017, he graduated with distinction from the University of East Anglia's prestigious Creative Writing Programme. Kayode lives in Windhoek, Namibia with his wife and two sons.
