The workshops utilize a variety of media such as film, live performance, lighting and dialogue to keep the attention and interest of the participants.
The workshops showcase South African musical heritage by exploring the sounds of isitorotoro, umakheweyana bow, and the penny whistle to recall music of the past and to inspire music of the future. Participants are invited to reflect on why we make music, and how music experienced here makes them feel. They also learn about the technical skills that are needed to stage musical performances.
