Science Film Festival is inviting people of all age groups to enjoy science films and discuss relevant topics on climate change. There will be science activities for our younger public.
The Science Film Festival is a celebration of science communication in Southeast Asia, South Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. In cooperation with local partners, it promotes science literacy and facilitates awareness of contemporary scientific, technological and environmental issues through international films with accompanying educational activities.
In 2023, the Science Film Festival is supporting the United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration.
On the 28th October 2023, the Goethe-Institut and Play Africa will host the SCIENCE FILM FESTIVAL FAMILY DAY for people of all age groups with film screenings, discussions, science experiments and much more.
The event will run from 12pm until 5pm.
The Iziko Museums of South Africa are hosting screenings on the 6th October, 3rd November and 5th December at the South African Museum in Cape Town.
In cooperation with AFDA, we shall be hosting film screenings on the 20th and 27th November at AFDA Campus in Johannesburg.
