Bundesweites Integrationsprogramm (Nationwide Integration Programme)

Many different authorities, agencies and institutions are working to support the integration of the 16 million immigrants in Germany. They include the ministries at federal and state (Land) level, the local authorities, schools, policy officers dealing with migration and integration matters, migrants’ organisations, trade unions, employers’ associations, the churches, faith communities and welfare organisations.

The aim of the Nationwide Integration Programme is to link up these organisations, coordinate their offers and integrate them into an ongoing quality assurance process. Promoting German language skills, training/education and social integration are priorities within the Programme.
