Frauenintegrationskurs (Women’s integration courses)

As with the general integration courses, the purpose of the women’s integration courses is to give participants the language skills they need in their daily lives in Germany. The courses consist of 900 (max. 1200) lessons plus an orientation course (45 lessons). In addition, the courses focus on specific topics such as their children’s upbringing, education and language development, as well as on medical matters, food shopping / consumer issues, and the role of women in German society. Particular emphasis is placed on a practical approach, accessibility and project-based learning, and the courses also include various excursions. Childcare is available if required.

The integration courses for women/parents account for around 9.7% of all integration courses (as of: 09 Jan 2016).
