The Goethe Institut Tallinn and the CCI Contact Desk have created the "Mit Deutsch erfinden" (Engl. Inventing with German) project. This initiative aims to produce innovative educational materials for German language classes at A1+ and B1 levels. In partnership with German teacher Laura Steinbach and drawing on a project by VIVITA Lahenduste Laboratoorium (Problem Solving Lab), the goal is to introduce students to the prototyping process and encourage them to develop creative problem-solving skills.

The project includes worksheets and a didactic tool for teachers that explain the process in detail. It promotes teamwork, project planning and creativity among students and goes far beyond traditional teaching. Through action-oriented learning, students are being prepared for future challenges. At the same time, the German language becomes a medium for creativity and innovative thinking, which corresponds to the goals of the Estonian curriculum, which emphasizes entrepreneurial, communicative, and social skills.

Flexibility of teaching options:
The German language materials offer flexible teaching options for a project day, a project week, or a more extended series of lessons. There are three different teaching options available:

1. Teaching without creating a prototype
2. Teaching by creating a prototype
3. Working with individual materials separate from the project

The CCI Contact Desk extends its warmest thanks to all German teachers and students who are joining us on this journey of innovation and invention. We are here to support you, so please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need assistance.
