In our presentation followed by a discussion, we will provide insights into the key findings of the “Boto” project.
The focus is on the Boto gang – six characters that children designed, named, and selected themselves in a participatory painting competition. In a large exhibition, they decided which monsters they would most like to learn with. The selected characters act as learning companions and make an important contribution to promoting child development and ensuring learning success. The use of these little learning companions supports cognitive and emotional growth as well as social skills. In addition, the Boto gang provides comfort, encouragement, and stimulates imaginative play.

In addition, we present two further central components:
  • the globally applicable framework curriculum with graded course formats for children aged 3 to 11
  • the methodological and didactic handbook, which supports practical use in courses and educational work
Afterwards, we invite you to an open exchange and joint discussion.
