Description

Hannah Arendt fled Nazi Germany and has been living in American exile with her husband Heinrich for 20 years. Her New York apartment is a meeting place for immigrant Jewish intellectuals who are trying to come to terms with the Shoa. The surprising news of the capture of Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann electrifies the totalitarianism researcher, who has published several times on German fascism. On behalf of the newspaper "The New Yorker," she travels to Jerusalem to report on the trial.
