Description

This issue of Lingo Global is about partnerships. Why? People have to work together to solve problems and crises. They can't do it alone. Partnerships are very important in life and they are very different: people live together in families or at school. People are in contact with each other worldwide through the internet. States also work together, for example in the United Nations (UN). What other partnerships are there? Why are partnerships important for a just and peaceful future? Above all, what can you do to achieve this? How do you deal with other people? How can we help each other? "Lingo Global" has answers and ideas to these questions.

The learning objectives are:

vocabulary building and expansion on the topic of partnerships
dealing with the 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations
thinking about approaches to solving a problem and discussing them
learning the facts about different formats of partnerships worldwide
training the global reading
reading, understanding and summarizing a text
discovering a placemat method for gathering ideas and collaboration and applying it in practice
