The session will combine OSINT investigation methods, threat intelligence, journalism, and artistic research to identify how Russia’s emotional influence tactics are used in campaigns in Ukraine, the EU, and particularly in Slovenia.  In the first part of the workshop, the artist will present several cases from Ukraine and the EU in order to highlight tactics used by inauthentic actors, as well as methods to uncover them. In the second practical part, the participants will explore how similar tactics are employed in Slovenia. Together, we’ll try to identify and map key narratives and areas vulnerable to influence, and examine the specific local tone of voice used by these actors. The goal of the workshop is to document situated knowledge, which can help participants recognise how certain feelings might be targeted or amplified within influence campaigns.
