Through The Cracks: Touching into Dream Waters
Dream Reflection Workshop | by registration only
-
ACUD Galerie, Berlin
- Language English
- Price free entrance
In this guided collective reflection, the artists open a space for dream reflections in a sacred and intimate setting, letting our souls speak the language of dreams. Participants are invited to slow down and consider dreams as both personal and collective experiences engaging the body and senses, tuning into the distinct listening that emerges from dreams, and exploring the knowledge that might be shared across them. Drawing from both artist’s own relationship with dreams and research, the texts read aloud serve to expand perspectives and deepen connections with dream life.
Set against a soft backdrop of sound and scent, the format challenges the conventions of traditional public readings often directed at the mind while neglecting the body’s presence in space. It also explores how visual, auditory, olfactory, and spatial elements shape our encounters with memory, language, and knowledge. The session concludes with a shared meal, offering a voluntary space for participants to exchange, reflect, and connect.

Artists
The Workshop will be facilitated by Marwa Zein and Charmaine Li and is curated by Armeghan Taheri
Armeghan Taheri is a Berlin-based “accidental” artist and storyteller. Her work spanning from writing, editing, organizing, curating and performance emerged from the need to create collective emancipatory spaces. In 2018, she founded Afghan Punk Magazine and in 2024 Afghan Punk City, platforms for creative resistance and political organizing. Since then, she has been working on several art-based educational projects for children and young people. A member of the parallelgesellschaft collective, her performances and texts confront imperialism, violence, and intimacy, rejecting sanitized neoliberal identity in favor of raw, interconnected stories.
Charmaine Li is a writer and artist living in Berlin. She creates embodied encounters with language, memory, and knowledge-sharing. Guided by nightly dreams, contemplative practices, and ancient schools of thought, her work delves into processes of attuning to ungraspable forms of knowledge within and around us. She initiated ONEIRIC SPACE, a research and publishing project that reflects on dreams as both personal experiences and collective phenomena.
Marwa Zein is an International award winning Nubian Film Director, Script Writer and Producer for her acclaimed debut Khartoum Offside and acclaimed short fiction films A game and One week, Two days.
