Usha Ramanathan works on the jurisprudence of law, poverty and rights. She studied law at Madras University and the University of Nagpur and got her doctorate in law from Delhi University. She writes and speaks on matters of liberty, freedom, state power, corporate crime, disaster and the judicial process. In the last decade, she has also engaged with matters of technology including IDs, personal data, AI, no-law and innovation, and the battles around privacy.
