Since 2018, Natalie Bayer has been the director of the FHXB Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg Museum. She is a cultural anthropologist specialising in urban development, border regimes, historical policies and the history of migration. She studied European ethnology, art history and ethnology at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and did her doctorate on the topic of Migration on Display. Until December 2017 she was employed as the scientific curator of the Münchner Stadtmuseums for the project Migration moves the city to develop new exhibition formats and methods for cooperation with the migration society. She is also a member of the advisory board, a jury member and consultant for cultural projects, art funds and exhibitions.
