Inês Beleza Barreiros is a Portuguese cultural historian. With a background in history and art history she has researched, amongst other, on the visuality and countervisuality in the Portuguese Empire which she also proposes a visual methodology for, working with the visual colonial archive. Inês is the editor of La Rampa magazine and the author of About the Look of Gods without Shame: visual culture and contemporary landscapes (2009) and of Colonial Specters: a visual archaeology (in press).
