Lill-Ann Körber has been Professor of Nordic Literature, Media and Culture at the University of Aarhus since 2018. She completed her doctorate at the Northern Europe Institute of the Humboldt University of Berlin, where she also worked as a research assistant. Before moving to Denmark, she held positions at the Universities of Oslo and Bergen in Norway. The focus of her work in recent years has been on the aftermath of the colonial history of the Scandinavian countries. Her main research interests are the transatlantic slave trade, Greenland's contemporary culture, political, cultural and ecological changes in the Arctic as well as Scandinavia's historical and contemporary links to Africa and the Caribbean and their reflection and representation in literature, art and film.
