Gustau Nerín is a Professor of African History at the University of Barcelona, specialized in the study of Spanish colonialism in Africa. He has worked at the Université Paul Valéry in Montpellier, the National University of Equatorial Guinea, the Federal University of Latin American Integration (in Brazil) and at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. He is the author of books such as Guinea Ecuatorial, historia en blanco y negro (1991), El imperio que nunca existió (2001), La guerra que vino de África (2005), La última selva de España (2010), Corisco y el estuario del Muni (2015) and Traficants d’ànimes (2016).
