Hany Mustafa or HanyMust, is an Egyptian singer, musician and songwriter. His music borrows elements from the indie/acoustic to alternative & ambient music. He is especially known as the former frontman and songwriter of the rock band Egoz: He is considered to be one of the most important figures of Egypt’s independent music scene. Hany released his solo EP entitled “September” in 2010, a five track album that uses only acoustic instruments to portray nature and its beauty. After a break of three years his first new song “Time to GO” was released this year. Currently he is working on his debut English as well as Arabic LP.

Location: Nasr City

Overlooking the rooftops of residential district “Nasr City” the kitchen that served as a venue for the concert with Hany Mustafa and Yasmine Sami belongs to a private apartment, which is usually used by the family to enjoy fresh air in nice weather. Nasr City is located in the eastern part of Cairo, close to the airport and was designed and build in the 1960s personally supervised by former president and Gamal Abdel Nasser. Nowadays it is the biggest district of Cairo and home to various social strata.
