Burkina Faso

4th Edition
Four days of public screenings in Ouagadougou as well as several screenings at schools constitutes the bulk of Goethe-Institut Burkina Faso’s festival which will be held in partnership with L’Institut de recherche pour le développement (IRD Burkina Faso) from 16 – 20 October. The festival welcomes an exciting addition this year in the form of a partnership with the I Am Science project. In this, eight girls from a local school will be trained how to perform the activities that will accompany every screening. The activities serve to further understanding of concepts in the films and with local girls demonstrating them, the IAMSCIENCE project hopes to contribute to changing perceptions related to girls and women in science.
