Elisabeth André is a computer scientist and Professor of Human-centric Artificial Intelligence at the University of Augsburg. Her main research focus is new technical methods that can be used to simplify the interaction between humans and computers. She received awards for her work including the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize from the German Research Foundation in 2021, and in 2019 she was selected as one of the top ten most influential figures in Germany’s AI history by the Gesellschaft für Informatik (German Informatics Society).
