Tomas Sedlacek, born 1977, teaches at Charles University in Prague. He is the chief macroeconomist at a leading Czech national bank and served as a member of the National Economic Council in Prague. In 2012 he was awarded the German Business Book Prize (Frankfurt Book Fair) for his international bestseller (translated into eleven languages), “The Economics of Good and Evil.” His most recent work, “Lilith und die Dämonen des Kapitals: Die Ökonomie auf Freuds Couch” (i.e. Lilith and the demons of capital: the economy on Freud’s couch) was published by Hanser Verlag in 2015.
