Bruno Gross
Bruno Gross has been Commercial Director and a member of the Executive Committee of the Goethe-Institut since March 2011. Together with Secretary-General Johannes Ebert, he manages the association’s business affairs. Bruno Gross studied physics in Munich and Vancouver (Canada). After spending three years as a research fellow at the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics in Garching, he earned his doctorate in experimental physics in 1999. He subsequently worked as a business consultant with McKinsey & Company. As chair of the management board of Menlo Systems GmbH in Munich and later as managing director of Zett Optics GmbH in Braunschweig, Bruno Gross headed two medium-sized technology companies. Prior to joining the Goethe-Institute, he served as president of the Munich University of Applied Sciences.
