Science Film Festival

In 2024, Bangladesh is celebrating the 6th year of the Science Film Festival. The Goethe-Institut Bangladesh in collaboration with its respective partner schools and institutions, will be hosting the festival from 1 October to 20 December. The focus of the festival this year is ‘Net Zero and the Circular Economy’.

Korail-City of Culture

Korail-City of Culture aims to redefine design culture and creative industries by supportingsustainable cultural practices among practitioners in Korail and sharing this knowledgeglobally. The young residents of Korail, supported by Paraa, has led efforts to create auniversally accessible community-driven cultural space, engaging in participatory design andtraining to enhance their skills in managing and shaping public spaces.

The Old Dhaka Food Map

Join Goethe-Institut as it navigates the narrow roads of Old Dhaka to uncover a number of legendary eateries and their mouthwatering dishes. Every turn of the bustling streets reveals the legacy of various epochs, which live on to this day in the cultural, religious and gastronomic diversity.

Young feminism network

Feminism is evolving around the globe. Through diverse projects, we have been exploring how young Bangladeshis approach and explore questions on the subject. Outcomes include reading circles, essays, podcasts, deep listening experiences, visual art, poems, illustrations, a conference and a magazine.
