Photography exhibition

The photography exhibition WE WILL HAVE BEEN YOUNG, with 160 photos produced as part of the SAN regional project by a photography master class in Malaysia, opened on 7 March 2019 at the basis Kunstverein in Frankfurt am Main. All twelve participating Southeast Asian photographers from eight countries, the two mentors and curators Jörg Brüggemann and Tobias Kruse from the Ostkreuz photographers’ agency in Berlin and the director of the Obscura Festival of Photography from Malaysia, Vignes Balasingam, were present at the opening. The opening of the exhibition marks the beginning of a ten-day visitors’ journey organised by the Goethe-Institut, which will also bring the photographers from Frankfurt to Berlin.

The photography exhibition can be seen at the Ostkreuzschule in Berlin from 31 May until 9 June 2019  before it returns to Southeast Asia.
