Biographies

During our event series “Responsiblity & Humanity – Nature, Culture and Terror”, four contemporary German thinkers, Wolfram Eilenberger, Andreas Weber, Charlotte Klonk and Fritz Breithaupt, came to Australia to join a range of Australian guests in a different kind of dialogue. The series was co-curated by Wolfram Eilenberger, Natasha Cica, Director and CEO of the Heide Museum of Modern Art, and Simon Longstaff, executive director of The Ethics Centre in Sydney. The panel discussions happened in Alice Springs, Sydney and Melbourne and covered a wide range of topics: Nature and Humanity, Culture and Identity, Terror and Art.

Panel Discussion: Culture & Identity

The German philosophers Wolfram Eilenberger and Fritz Breithaupt and two Australian thinkers, Paula Abood and Kean Wong, discussed on "Culture and Identity - What's Missing in Contempoary Conversation?". The panel discussion was moderated by Simon Longstaff, executive director of The Ethics Centre in Sydney. It happend on the 13th September 2017 at The Ethics Centre.

Sternstunde Philosophie: "The Aboriginal Australians"

During their journey through Australia, the two German philosophers Dr Wolfram Eilenberger and Dr Andreas Weber developed a strong interest in the lives and thinking of Indigenous Australians. For the Swiss TV show "Sternstunde Philosophie" they discussed some of their experiences (video in German language).
