Weekly childen's courses

Here your children will learn German in a playful way. Numerous songs and audiovisual material encourage understanding and joy of discovering the German language. The program is based on the annual cycle emphasizing topics and festivities such as Easter, Christmas, Mother's Day, seasons, to name a few. Literacy (reading / writing) does not yet play a major role.
The lessons are taught with the help of multimedia materials, so that all types of learners are engaged.
 

Face-to-face

age 4-6, no or little previous knowledge

Face-to-face

age 7-9, no or little previous knowledge

  • every Monday 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
  • Age-appropriate forms of learning
  • Playful elements
  • Active learning: listening and speaking, but also reading and writing (as soon as the children can read and write in their first language, these skills are also included in the German course)
  • Small groups: max. 10 children
  • Specialised teacher, native speaker
  • Work with course book "Die Deutschprofis”
  • Different levels (A1.1 - to A1.5)
Face-to-face

age 7-9, with German as first or second language

  • every Wednesday 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
  • Age-appropriate forms of learning

  • Active learning: listening and speaking, but also reading and writing (as soon as the children can read and write in their first language, these skills are also included in the German course)

Children holiday courses 7-11 years

Children will experience German with all their senses and use it in role play, interviews and project work. 

Holiday course for children aged 7 - 11 (no background knowledge)

This course is for children who have no or very little previous knowledge of German. The whole course is taught in German. Audiovisual, interactive materials as well as playful elements make it easy to understand the teacher and activities. Here a selection of our topics: talking about oneself, animals, hobbies, friends, family. The course focuses on listening and speaking, but reading and writing will also be practiced.
The course is held as a face-to-face course at the Goethe Institut.

Holiday course for children aged 7 - 11 (bilingual background)

This course is for children who already have a good command of the German language but do not always have the chance to practice sufficiently. While the focus is on listening and speaking, grammar, reading and writing are also practiced.
The course is held as a face-to-face course at the Goethe Institut.
