  • Production of a short feature film, animation or cartoon film in German
  • Maximum length: 4 minutes
  • Language: German only
  • Creative interpretation of the topic
  • Creative interpretation of the topic
  • Extent, content and suitability of language used
  • Cohesion of the storyline
  • Technical quality
  • Dialogues must be original, not dubbed
  • No more than 3 entries per school

Age Groups
Early years: students in Years 3 to 6
Middle years: students in Years 7 to 9
Later years: students in Years 10 to 12

1st Prize: $300
2nd Prize: $200
3rd Prize: $100

The School Film Festival in Melbourne is supported by the Victorian Government. Prizes for winning schools from South Australia are contributed by SAGTA, from Western Australia by TAGWA and half the prize money for winning schools from Victoria and Tasmania by the AGTV.

For copyright/licensing reasons the teacher in charge of the project is required to ensure all students, teachers and other persons participating in the project sign the Declaration of Entrant Form (ref. attachment). Minors must also have it signed by a parent/guardian. NB The Declaration of Entrant Forms remain at your school. Only Students submitting an individual entry must submit the Declaration of Entrant Form with their entry.
