As part of this years 'Kino for Kids' event the Goethe-Institut hosted a school film competition. We asked Australian students to produce a short film on the topic 'Exploring a Sustainable Future' in German.

The many entries demonstrated how creativity and the study of German can be combined whith teaching about sustainable living. All participants enjoyed the production of the short films and feel motivated to further pursue their interests in the German language.

In each state category (VIC/TAS, WA, SA, NT/QLD, ACT/NSW) two winners were chosen. The winning teams were able to accept their prizes amid loud applause before watching one of the selected 'Kino for Kids' movies.

A big thank you to all the participants and congratulations to the winners!
