Culture Moves Europe is the new mobility action funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union and implemented by the Goethe-Institut. Based on the successful pilot phase i-Portunus, Culture Moves Europe supports the mobility of artists, creators and cultural professionals among all countries participating in Creative Europe and will run until July 2025.

Through a demand-driven mobility scheme and a straightforward and flexible application process, Culture Moves Europe acknowledges the challenges that the creative sectors are facing and will continue answering to their existing and future needs. For this reason, the scheme will be composed of two actions: individual mobilities for artists and cultural professionals travelling between 7 and 30 days or groups of individuals (up to max. 5 persons travelling for max. 21 days) as well as short-term, long-term and extended residencies for host organisations.

For individual mobilities rolling calls for all sectors at once will be open every year between autumn and spring. For the residencies, calls for each sector will be open twice during the duration of the scheme. These calls focus on artists, creators and cultural professionals from all sectors included in the Creative Europe Programme, except the audio-visual sector.  These are: music, literary translation, architecture, cultural heritage, design, including fashion design visual arts and performing arts.
