Sonia Seymour Mikich
editor-in-chief of Westdeutscher Rundfunk, is a journalist with strong opinions with experience as a correspondent in Moscow and Paris and a presenter and head of various investigative programmes on German television. The 65-year-old was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany in 1998 for her coverage from Russia. She received the Kritikerpreis (critics’ choice award) in 2001, particularly for her work in crisis-hit regions. Seymour Mikich is a regular commentator on ARD and has published books, such as in 2013: Enteignet: Warum uns der Medizinbetrieb krank macht.
