Our Hygiene Plan

Our Hygiene Concept

Due to the current uncertain pandemic situation caused by Corona, we are currently refraining from holding courses in our rooms in the Goethe Institute building.

However, as soon as the situation allows again, we look forward to welcoming you back in person in our new premises. Please note that all our teachers, exam candidates and language course participants are compliant with the 3 vital rules (vaccinated / tested / recovered) and are checked by us using the CovidSafeBE app or by means of a certificate including identification papers. This enables us to conduct our language courses without reducing the maximum number of participants. These regulations also apply to events held at the Goethe-Institut Brussels.

Together with the health experts from Attentia – our longstanding partner on health and safety at the workplace – we have drawn up a comprehensive hygiene plan. We give top priority to protecting your health and that of our employees.

We are continually evaluating the current situation and are following the guidelines and recommendations of the Belgian authorities.

We are doing everything we can to ensure your language course or examination takes place under safe conditions and to enable you to focus fully on learning German.

We nevertheless request that you adopt a responsible and considerate approach towards other course participants and examination candidates as well as towards our teaching staff and employees. We all need to take care of one another.

Our measures for more security

Digital advice and contactless payments

Online advice and contactless payments

We will continue to advise you personally - currently only online. You can book all our courses and exams via the web shop and pay contactless.

Access controls

Access controls

We carry out access controls at the entrance and therefore always know who was when in our institutes. In this way we can intervene immediately in case of a suspected case.

Smaller courses and minimum distance

Smaller exams and minimum distance

We have drastically reduced the number of participants per exam so that the minimum distance can be easily maintained.

Cleaning and ventilation of the classrooms

Cleaning and ventilation in the classrooms

We make sure that our classrooms as well as tables, counters and door handles are cleaned and disinfected regularly. We also ventilate the rooms several times a day.

Mouth-nose protection

Mouth-nose protection

The wearing of mouth/nose protection is mandatory in the classrooms and corridors of the Goethe-Institut in Brussels during written examinations. We can all help to protect one another by wearing a mask.
