The Goethe-Institut London will stay closed over the summer. During this time, we will work hard on making the library a safe place for you to return to in autumn.
All library loans have been renewed until 1 October 2020 and there will be no charges for anything on loan until that point.

Difference Between Opening Hours and Library Reception Desk Hours
Our opening hours have changed! To allow our readers to use the library outside library reception desk hours, our library doors are now open for longer.
During these hours you can work, study and read in the Library, use our laptops and meet friends. Members can borrow and return materials using the RFID self check kiosk. Please note, at certain times parts of the library may not be accessible.
If you want to join as a library member, if you need information about the collection or about Germany please visit during service hours of the library reception desk.
You're interested in exploring new worlds through interesting books? Come along to one of our book clubs and join in a discussion. The book clubs are free of charge, and take place in the bright and comfortable rooms of the Goethe-Institut London Library - or online.
